I also like Dead Space 3. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the parts where you’re on the planet, but being in space and on the ships & stations was awesome.

It's nice to see the game was praised. I found it to have the Darkest and bleakest story for the series. It came to such a horrifying and disturbing narrative.

People tend to look past the story and focus on the co-op and gameplay more when they forget the story is fucked up. Like it is dark af.

I’m playing it right now on a Series S through Gamepass, and it looks fantastic, and runs smooth. I’m enjoying more now than I did when I first played it back in the 360 days, and have to agree that the story & atmosphere is still very oppressive & dirty and retains the horror vibe even though there is more focus on action. Of course it has its flaws, just like any game ever, but to call it a trash game that ruined a franchise is just false in my opinion.

It makes more sense that we have to fight humans, because the Unitologists have basically been going around the galaxy and systematically eliminating all of the Earth Gov Forces and anyone who opposes their mission plans.

Jacob Carver, and Edward Norton and their crew are the only ones from Earth Gov which survived. That's it.

Makes sense Humans would be something we would be fighting against.

And those Brother Moons are disturbing AF. They are lovecraftian horror that telepathically screw with you with hallucinations, and horrifying visions and speak to you as a means to mess with you even more. All they want is food and are parasites.

I loved Dead Space 3 but I also played the games back to back. Looking at DS3, I feel like if I had waited years for the game and got what DS3 is, I would have definitely been disappointed. But playing it with Dead Space 2 fresh in my mind made the game way better

Since the remake of DS1 is going to have hints and references/foreshadowing events that happened In the greater lore of the franchise IE

The animated films, the second and third game, books it will be interesting to see glimpses towards those.

I truely can't wait to see what they add in! I also hope they add a voice to Isaac. Could give some interesting comments that might flesh out some lore or at least give clues and nods to the series as a whole. Either way that remake is going to be amazing and I cant wait to go through those dark hallways again!

They mentioned that the remake is a Hugely improved experience over the original.

Isaac is voiced by Gunner Wright again but will only speak when it's required but be mostly silent when it comes to atmosphere and suspense horror.

All of the "cut content" from the original game will be added in the remake, and that all of the environments have been expanded greatly. They said the entire ship can be explored at any time, and it's going to have some optional side content in the ships to find and its like God Of War/Dead Space 2 where it's a

One shot camera no loading screens or anything only happens when you die.

The third wad an amazing game

But they tired doing too much. Coop wasn't needed, weapon system wasn't needed, micro trans weren't needed.

It was a good game but it was a bad dead space

You could have slapped any other name and story on the gameplay and it would have been a great new ip. As a dead space it was missing some of the horror and tension, especially with how good weapon customization is. One of the original's mastetstrokes was that you didnt have real weapons apart from the pulse rifle. But with 3 i was running around with an effing combo javelin launcher / gatling gun with a stasis effect, and since it fired javs and rivets an enemy that was actually dead got launched and pinned to walls. Took the fear of "is it still alive?" out of the equasion. And the stasis thing- It was a powerful but limited tool in the early games but here i am spamming it in everything that lurches my way.

I still had fun though and am glad i played it.
