Hope it's okay to post here, I'm not sure where else to talk about it and I'm feeling a bit sad. I figure the gaming sub would understand much more than anywhere else.
My dad was talking to me about ideas for presents, so I sent him a few links for gifts he could look through. They were video game merch, think plushies and posters and t-shirts. Nothing super outlandish.
He looked through and called me, went on to shame me about how I should have grown out of games (I'm 32F if it makes any difference) and how it's a bit embarrassing for him to look at video games for people my age.
The kicker? He's really into D&D! So extremely hypocritical. He ended the call by giving me some alternative suggestions for my own gifts, and so now I'm sitting here feeling a bit miserable.
Anyone else deal with this?
