Hate to break it to you but Susvaras have been notorious for the bad QC, the HE1000 was a disaster, the Focal Utopia had bad pads on the first batch, Stax had drivers that would die on their own back in the mid 00's, etc.

Find me one company that has never had any QC complaint in their entire history.

Xelento first gen was, to put it gently, not good QC wise. Lots of old posts on forums, dunno if they were some on Reddit back then

Can you link to the Amazon page for the $20 Sennheiser IEMs please?

I don't recommend Sennheiser IEMs. Their life span is far worse than Sennheiser's over-ears and all of them has very similar tonality: sucked out upper mids and piercing treble.

I think the CX-300s are notorious for having lots of fakes in circulation, especially on Amazon

Sennheiser IEMs does not have better QC than Chinese IEMs but their over-ears can last for decades.
