On a whim I discovered a used HE-4XX in the classified ads.

This was a huge discovery. The seller wanted no more then 90€ for a headphone that doesn't get sold in my country.

It sounds totally natural and highly resolving. My best in ears can outperform on the detail retrieval but not on the natural sound.
