I personally haven’t seen people any problems with the Clear MG headband but yes I know that both the Elegia, and Clear OG have this issue

The issue is how they've made the plastic parts needlessly complicated and fragile. Just look at the Sennheiser implementation of metal and plastic on the HD600 series headbands, simple and easily replaceable if something breaks.

Seems like my comments aren't popular with Focal fans... Hey, it's their money.
As for why I used Sennheiser and not Beyer, it's because Beyers are already known for good build quality and repairability, while Sennheiser's plasticky-ness are often seen as a con, but still does not affect their durability. I use Sennheiser as an example of good plastic use, unlike Focal.
