Fair enough, I tested it on my regular kz zex and even with a bass boost I couldn't really hear the bass well and it lost a lot of detail.

I looked it up because of your comment and according to Fiio, longer tube means better low pass filter, so I guess I would just be losing functionality

Get something like an amp or DAC for them with a balance control.

I do have one, but I kind of wanted to make as an extreme difference as possible without ruining the bass
