Hi all! I have one of the last touch id phones they made and I want it to be on the upgrade and the newest ones don’t have it?! Why iPhone? Why can’t you re add that feature? Will it EVER come back? Ugh 😑 thanks all

You can add multiple faces for face ID, just do that with your face variations.

Once you go Face ID you never want to go back, IMO. I was very hesitant because I loved Touch ID. Now that I’m used to it, my iPad with Touch ID feels so slow because when it needs verification for passwords and things it’s annoying that I have to take an extra step instead of it just continuing.

I get it but I swell from arthritis and don’t always have the same shaped face I know weird but it’s true

FaceID usually gets better over time, and you can train it by looking at it when you enter your passcode when it asks for it, when face isn't recognized. I took a long time to switch over from TouchID as well, but once I did, FaceID is actually much better imho, though I wouldn't mind having both!

No, very unlikely Touch ID as you know it in the home button will ever be back. Possible that in power button Touch ID may hold on a little while longer (currently in some iPad models). I would not expect under display Touch ID any time soon either.
