I’ve used mous’s limitless cases on every one of my phones. From the 2.0 on my s10, to the 3.0 on my 12 pro (glue eventually broke apart and separated the backing from the outer band), and they were kind enough to send me a replacement 4.0 which has been great. My only problem being since switching back to an iPhone, the iPhone is way heavier and thicker than previous androids I’ve used, and although without a case it feels fine, with a case it feels bulky and really heavy. At this point, I’m probably going to eventually buy a pixel once I see a noticeable improvement in future iterations, but for the time being I’d like to find something like mous’s limitless that hits a good in between of protection and slimness. Is there anything that’s reasonably drop protective but a bit slimmer than the limitless? Thanks

I was drunk and the case broke after two consecutive falls from about 3-4 feet onto a marble surface within 5 minutes of each other.

That said, it had already fallen 3-4 times even before that. Harmless falls, but still.

The phone is fine.

I requested a replacement and asked to be upgraded to their “Pro” variant which just launched. They said okay, but pay the difference. I said fine. Hoping to get that in the next 1-2 months (already been on a waitlist for 3 months because they just launched Pro and they didn’t have a stock for it in my country).

Note that at the end of the day, the “regular” version is just plastic and gets scratched up and looks pretty bad. If that’s something you care about. That’s why I want the Pro version.

Thanks for the feedback!

Is this for the 14 variants lineup? I was hoping to able to order and get one immediately once 15 Pro comes out this year. So this means, it won't be as available it will be then huh?

This is for the 13 line up. Afaik, they launched for the 14 a while ago as well. And I wouldn’t expect these to be available very quickly for the 15. Probably give it a month or two from launch date (a wild guess btw) at least for the design, production, and logistics to catch up.

Damn, I think i'd stick to other recommendations for now then. I was even looking forward to getting an absolutely thin case for it on Day 1 too (and the original ones that sold by Apple are too expensive for their own good too)

Thanks for the testimony anyway!

Try Spigen Ultra Hybrid Matte Black. Great protection, transparent back and not too bulky

I really like the Caudabe Sheath

Does it provide much drop protection? From what I’ve heard it’s more useful in the grip department than it is against drops. Not to say I’m dropping my phone all the time, but I’d hate to have an accidental 1 in 1000 drop and it screw my phone.

I drop mine at least once a week from about waist height (off tables, desk, drop it etc) and it’s protected it pretty well. I will probably stick with it for my future phones.

Protects well, grips nice and looks simple and straight forward.

Have you ever owned a limitless case? Just asking because I was curious if it is actually a bit thinner feeling than the limitless. I’ve heard the caudabe sheath compared to the limitless quite often and was probably my first thought in terms of a new case, just wondering whether or not to bite the bullet and buy it

I haven’t. When I got the sheath, I was also researching the limitless. I am VERY picky on cases and there were a few things I didn’t think I would like about the limitless.

(Logo placement and the part around the camera being a weird shape)

Oh I’m assuming you were looking at the wood grain ones then? Yeah, they’re really ugly because it accents the stark black logo and camera cutout. I have the aramid fiber one and it’s honestly not even close to as noticeable. Thanks for the input though! Might give it a shot!

Edit: btw, here’s what the limitless 4.0 in aramid looks like after a couple months use. Camera cutout and logo aren’t too noticeable https://imgur.com/a/ZCtaub2

Aliexpress for slim hard cases, sandstone for a little grip added. No MagSafe, but at that price, who cares

Pitaka MagEZ Pro.

I have the MagEZ 2 which is my favorite case (over my Caudabe Sheath, Rhinoshield), but it probably doesn't offer the drop protection you'd like. The Pro is a little thicker & has more protection.

I’m guessing the MagEZ is MagSafe compatible? I had a Pitaka (I think) carbon fiber bumper for my last Apple Watch. I liked it

Yes. I don’t use mag safe charging but I’ve watched reviews where they test and say the magnets are strong.

I know the Magez is a great case, but is the pro any decent when compared to the caudabe?

I haven't felt the Pro but it's a touch thicker and doesn't have the open buttons compared to the MagEz. Caudabe Sheath to me is slippery & heavy. Phone has slipped out of my hands just holding it when I have the Sheath on. Yes, it's textured but it's a hard plastic like texture which doesn't do much to add grip. Pitaka almost has a slightly soft rubber feel that kinda adds a little grip.
