I have done a hard reset in my iPhone 14 to clear the red dot 🔴 indicator on the iPhone phone messages App icon and it still shows me that I have message, when I do not. Anyone have a way to clear the dot?? TIA!!

Have you tried clicking on “filters” in the top left of messages and checked to see if there are any unread messages or failed to send messages in one of the folders?

Oh good I’m glad! I’ve driven myself nuts before w that issue and it turned out I had a send failure to someone on an android phone and the thread was super far down so I never saw it 🙄

Just a thought. Do you have messages iCloud synced? Settings > AppleID > iCloud > Show All. It could be that the sync is outta whack. it looks like he would go in and use the disable and delete option, turn it off, restart your phone, turn it back on, and let it sync your current messages on your phone.
