I recently went the other way (Samsung -> iPhone) and I'd kinda agree. I think it's maybe specifically something to do with the animation speed, general animations seem a touch faster on my old Samsung than they do on IOS where they have a bit longer of a duration, which makes the Samsung feel more responsive.

The actual smoothness of the screen should be the same between the s23 ultra and 14 pro max though, both use 120Hz screens with 240Hz touch sampling rates.

I think you're right as well, alot of times I'll try and swipe home but I end up doing it twice because I was a little to fast for the phone to recognize the action.
