Hey guys, so I updated my phone earlier today and for some weird reason all my messages are starting as a new thread and does not continue on the previous thread (all messages!) I spoke to an Apple support agent and I was asked to restart the phone and signing out of my Apple ID but nothing seems to work, I even deleted the new threads but that didn’t resolve the issue.

Any suggestion?

Update: Spoke to another Apple support agent and followed steps to reset network settings, restart phone, toggling iMessages off and on, turning messages iCloud sync on and off

Nothing seems to fix the issue Anyone else had this issue?

I am having the same problem after iOS 16.4 update on my iPhone 12 Pro.. Broke 12 years of my message threads. Old messages are there, but new messages are starting as new threads.
