Also, do you think it could be iCloud backup? I just noticed I never had it on on my previous phones but now it is flipped on

It could be photos trying to upload to iCloud, if you were taking videos at a concert and you had low signal and iCloud backup over mobile, I can definitely see that making quite a bit of heat.

So my thing is it’s not like hot hot where I can’t hold it, but definitely warm where I feel it through a silicon case. If the warm isn’t an issue with the phone I’m fine with it, it doesn’t particularly bother me but I’m worried that the phone might be broken or something.
