I tried getting a battery replacement for my 12 Pro, however they said they are unable to perform the replacement since the system reports battery health is 86% and they can only do it below 80% (even if I pay for it!). However, the system reports battery health at 86% for over a year now, which I doubt.

Did you update to ios 16?

I’m having the same batt health percentage as well with my launch date iphone 12 as well. Though, the battery is not good, not bad, maybe fine?(HAHAH) Sometimes it’s still manage to get 6h sot with 5 percent left. (With social media, movie streaming, mails and zoom meetings). While 3 hours sot with heavy gaming.

Authorized service provider. I might try it in an Apple Store someday but it’s in another city and I’m not sure if they can do it as fast as the service provider (under 2 hours).

Replaced battery before handing phone down to family member, since still ‘too good’ paid $69 US but phone is like new now
