I got my iPhone 13 Pro Max less than 3 months ago and it is has been showing a message that says “charging was placed on hold due to iPhone temperature,” what could be causing this? Unless you were trying to charge it in the sunshine on a hot day, and/or while playing a really intensive video game, then something is wrong IMO.
I always have a case on and I have never seen that error.

Okay I may have to get it looked at. I am super careful about charging it, never overnight, never use it while charging or anything and battery health is still at 100%.

While it was charging, what app was using most power?
You can tell on that same page that you sent a partial screenshot of.
Maybe you had an app running that has a bug causing excessive use of gpu or cpu, causing it to heat.

I’m not sure… I always close out all my apps before I charge it and it says “No data available between x and x” for the time it was charging.
