I’ve got an iPhone 8 and I’m having trouble downloading some essential apps from the app store because the WONDERFUL developers FORCE you to update to iOS 14. So, where can I get iOS 14.0? Currently on 13.2.2 and do not want anything newer than iOS 14. Thank you in advance.

You can't as it's not available anymore.

You used to be able to download a previous version online and force iTunes to install it. Is that not possible anymore?

You can only do so with signed version, and IIRC Apple unsigned all the versions older than the current.
You can probably do so when you jailbreak it, bur I have no experience with that and I don't think it's the solution you're looking for.
May I ask why you don't want the latest version? It also contains some important security updates.

The problem isn't getting an IPSW and getting iTunes to install it, the issue is that anytime you do that apples server's validate that it's still being signed, ios14 is longer being signed for the iPhone 8 so there's no way to install on that device.

Don’t want or need anything later than iOS 14. 13 has suited me for a long time so I don’t want or need anything else as I don’t care about new features or so-called security stuff. I don’t even use my phone beyond text, email, GPS apps, SiriusXM (cannot download) or work related stuff (cannot download) and I do not store anything on my phone that if compromised will do anything.
If I jailbreak the phone could I install the newer versions of the apps that are causing me the trouble without updating iOS?

I do still recommend updating your iPhone to the lates iOS version, but since I understand your point of view, and I am just a random internet stranger, I don't blame you for not wanting to update.

Well that’s too bad. If jailbreaking doesn’t get me what I need this’ll be my last iPhone.

Go take a look at r/jailbreak for more info

Thank you. I’ll look in to the jailbreaking thing and if it won’t accomplish what I need i guess I’ll use what I have until the battery fails and get another phone. This’ll be my last iPhone.
Cheers!

I've never quite understood why one would not want the latest OS. It's free, fixes bugs, generally doesn't cause you to lose any ability to run your apps. (Generally because when Mac went from 32 to 64 bit my MS-Office no longer worked, but then the installed Apple apps are more than an adequate replacement.
You talk about all the stuff you don't care about, we'll if you don't care, why make so much trouble for yourself by not upgrading?

Ask on r/jailbreak
I don’t think you can update to iOS 14, the earliest signed version is 15.6 RC but won’t hurt asking. I’d rather stay jailbroken on iOS 13, there are tweaks that help you run unsupported apps on iOS 13!

The earliest version you can update to is 15 unfortunately.
What apps are you trying to download?

To name a couple, SirusXM and Teams. It's ok I did a one time update to iOS 16.2 but will not update again before I switch phones.
Thanks all for the help. Hopefully this thread will help anyone else who has this question.

You can't, you can only update to the latest version - being 16.2
