I'd say my autocorrect has been consistently awful. I usually spend about as much time editing as i do typing. In particular mine likes to add extra letters to short words.

I think the dumbest thing it does is continually reword words that I have already manually corrected

I was trying to write Kubernetes yesterday and it reworded it 3 different times to 3 different things each time I corrected it manually

Do you type in multiple languages? Im learning German and write in Malay as well. What I notice is that if you type multiple languages on the same keyboard language, you end up confusing the autocorrect. Im not sure how true this is but this is my suspicion

It definitely has been for some reason.

Voice to text has become atrocious, almost unusable lately.

Not just bad but really bad…. Completely getting things way wrong and not even close.

I don’t get it, it should get progressively better, not worse.

It's freaking horrible, but I always remember one that is top notch.

Basically, in Spain there was a film named "El Niño" (The Child in english), so everytime I write el niño... something, it auto correct it to the uppercase one, you may think, well, it's not that bad.

But:

  1. I never, ever talked about the film nor wrote it nor searched it... nothing that gave the AI a hint about the film
  2. What are the freaking odds in real life that I talk about a film MORE than I could write the word CHILD. I mean, IT'S SOMETHING COMMON ENOUGH VS A FILM RELEASED IN 2014 THAT NO ONE TALKS ABOUT ANYMORE.

Edit: Also, since it continually reword it even when I manually go backwards and change it to lowercase, it's a perfect combination to drive me wild. Prob will end just turning it off, which is sad.

I just use GBoard to have it work decently. I don't give a fuck about the regular iOS keyboard with which I'm only...entering passwords from my password manager (Keychain)

It works like shit. Saves words capitalized, changes words with accents (if different keyboard enabled). Horrible. Hope there's a fix.

The most annoying thing about it for me is not the accuracy but how long it takes to make the “correction”. It’ll “correct” a word after I’m already done typing the next so then I have to manually slide the pointer back, make the real correction, and then manually put it where I left off. The inaccuracy is annoying but at least if it was faster, I could correct it’s correction immediately instead of 3 words down the road.

Mine added an apostrophe to the word “sports”(sport’s). I’m having a hard time coming up with a sentence that would even work in. Did apple autocorrect turn into the idiots I work with who think anything plural needs an apostrophe?
