What’s something I can use (like maybe an app, or way to benchmark, or video to watch) that can help show the power of this phone?

I know it has the best mobile cpu on the market but anything I use day to day seems the exact same as it did on my 12 Pro Max

Thanks. I was looking for something I can see on my phone rather than a website showing a screw from my browser

You can run the benchmarks yourself.

Serious question: what’s the difference?

If I buy a faster car I can hear it and drive it and feel it’s faster. If I go from a 60 fps monitor to a 144 I can see the picture is smoother. If I upgrade a video card on my pc I can see better graphics when gaming. I go from iPhone 12 to 14 so asking for something I can feel a difference in because using mail, phone, iMessage, Facebook and GroupMe doesn’t feel any different on the 14

Thanks for explaining. You might be missing the point: your shiny new phone makes almost no difference in performance for most apps. You’d have been perfectly happy with the older, slower phone for a few more years.

Enjoy the tangible features. Don’t buy the latest and greatest if there aren’t any.

Ok good to know. Thank you for explaining. Only reason I got this is they gave my $800 for my 12 which I know I’ll never get again. I guess I was expecting to see a noticeable difference like upgrading a 3090 to a 4090 GPU

Upgrading a 3090 to a 4090 also makes almost no difference for the average user, it will only be noticeable in certain games and/or on a 4K display. In these scenarios you’d notice it on the iPhone as well, but there are almost no apps that utilise the power of the SoC fully like that.
