Pretty new to reddit -- what's up with people taking the time to read a post they don;t know anything about and replying just to be mean to the OP ? Why not just ignore the post ? Isn't this site so people can ask questions and get answers about things ? Please explain truly curious.

Hi, welcome to Reddit. It’s a pet peeve to see questions like this for me because it can be answered by checking with the actual library. I don’t think it’s mean to comment on it but I guess that’s subjective.
