The one they serve for lunch at Saigon Cafe on Newark Ave downtown is pretty great. I don't think they offer it any other time.

I don't have many other places to compare it to but I like Short Grain's. If you're willing to go to Hoboken, Bon Banh is good too

I've probably tried most of their Bahn Mi sandwiches at this point and they've all been pretty damn good. The rest of the food was meh but I've enjoyed the sandwiches

What's great about Saigon Bistro is that they also sell a vegetarian friendly version of the banh mi with tofu+mushrooms instead of pork. Very tasty though must be eaten quickly unless you don't mind soggy bread.
