My wife and I were the near the escalators below the food court when the alarm started going off. Everyone started running so we ran too. Some people said they heard gun shots. Terrifying

From the police scanner, sounds like a popcorn machine had a malfunction and set off alarms - but who knows if this is accurate.

Edit: seems like they aren't sure if shots were fired or not - apparently they are going to check camera footage.

Was just in there. Can’t confirm active shooter but can confirm I saw 4 police men running in with guns drawn after we got the green light to leave the store. They said someone pulled the fire alarm.

Gunshots according to some friends who were in the mall when it happened. One of them saw sparks supposedly so most likely active shooter

It was a small fire/possible machine malfunction that made it sound like it was shots fired. According to a friend that works in the food court. Mall is resuming as normal
