It's all so fucking obvious. Traffic is caused by freeways having more capacity than can reasonably exit/enter from local roads. Adding more freeway does fuckall to fix this.
There is no fix for this other than alternatives to cars because they take up so much damn space.

Yet, we have Fulop and the state pushing through a freeway expansion instead of redirecting those funds to build more PATH tracks

Fulop is 100% against it.

Then heads should be rolling to stop it. He says he's against, but what is he doing?

What do you suggest he should be doing? It's not his call, he can't wave a magic wand and stop it.
He will be part of the inevitable lawsuits.

He should be contacting the state government daily until it gets canceled, or until he gets a formal written rejection.
He should be investigating, or having his team investigate, and publicly disclose who is benefiting financially from this misguided deal, uncovering the corruption, and publishing it officially.
This is what REAL LEADERSHIP would look like on the ground.

Yes, the mayor of the second largest city in the state should spend all his time calling the state and investigating. Projects like these can be held up in lawsuits, if Fulop doesn't sign on to the lawsuit, then you'd be correct.

Hypothetically, running for Governor in 2025 so he can stop it then.
