Hey, y’all - we moved here about six months ago and are just now getting around to unboxing all of our framed posters and pictures (probably 20-25). We’d like to have them hung by a professional to minimize wall damage and keep them even, but I’ve called a few folks recommended by our building staff and they don’t do that kind of thing. Any recommendations? Or ridiculous to think this is actually a thing?

OP bribe your friends with pizza and alcohol and go to Home Depot. They have plenty of easy framing options that you can do yourself. I hung up a 40 pound mirror with a friend doing this.

I suck at wall mounting stuff so I usually pay a Tasker their hourly rate to do that and a few other tasks I could probably do but save for them (like building furniture), because they will mount that shit in 10-20 mins tops lol.

Hanging art shows is difficult but I’m sure you can do it yourself if you just take it serious enough and allow one or two whole days to do the work in. Lay out all the art on the floor leaning against the spot on the wall each piece will occupy. Just doing this part is troublesome because of all kinds of subtleties but take the time and arrange all of them this way first.
Depending on how heavy they are you could try the command strips that are specifically for this. I was skeptical but have had really good results thus far.
This isn't so much the command strips as the paint adhesion. They're effectively hanging on the paint.
Generally if they fail, it's because someone didn't prep the surface right before applying another coat of paint, and it separates there.
Otherwise, they really do a good job.
Get a laser level and a few anchors. They'll be perfectly level and the wall damage will be minimal.

In my HIGHLY Respected Professional Opinion (LOL) somebody who doesn't know how to hang a painting, probably doesn't even know how to put on a condom, let alone tie a tie.

On a more serios note, you will NEED:
a stud finder
drill and drill bit
mercury level
Just a nail if mounting directly on to stud or nail and anchor if mounting on to drywall (sheetrock).
The "how to" part is easy to learn from YouTube.
