Yeah, everyone coming off the PATH just craves southern BBQ. What a miserable use of the space. People here do not care about BBQ. This is prime real estate that again is going to be mishandled and end up closing.

What's wrong with BBQ? Been dying for a place besides Hamilton Pork for BBQ. However, I just know this place will just be as cheap as it can possibly be when it comes to BBQ

I might be talking out of my ass, but BBQ right off the PATH and that space... we can do better like a grocery store, or something better that fits the needs of our community. I have no idea what the zoning rules are for that space, but disappointing to see something go in there that I already know will fail in a year or two. That space is doomed by people who cannot manage it and market it well. If I had the money and backing, I would take out that entire corner and put in a big market. Huge supermarket there would be good. We only have sprove, key foods, shop rite, and nothing else in the area. Just my crazy idea, but would be better than a BBQ joint

A super market with no parking, literally 75 second walk from Sprove or oliva, two more supermarket with no parking.

Um...a supermarket (with no parking and not easily accessible by car) directly across from the Farmers Market, next door to a 24 hour pharmacy, steps away from a gourmet grocery store, and a short walk from 5 other supermarkets, and a Wholesale club, would definitely not be the best use of that space. 🤔

That space is a couple thousand square feet. It’s a little more than an average single family home.

There are Wawa’s bigger than it.

Prime real estate that hasn’t succeeded in a decade though. At least it’s something “different”.

Agreed! See how it does. I like different stuff around DT, but this just does not seem to jive with our locals. I can imagine a million different things for this space. But what do I know....

I don’t mind BBQ but I know this BBQ is either going to be good and expensive, or bad and expensive. So it’s not going to be an every day place.

I agree the space would be better served with something similar to a Balthazar Bakery that served coffee, lunch sandwiches, light dinner fare.

Been saying they should make a Parisian cafe right there. It would be amazing. Grabbing coffee right before going on the path

Lol because now one certainly can't grab coffee right before getting on the PATH.

Listen it’s better than what it was. I’m no Ashford fan but they are light years better as an operator compared to what was here prior

LOL, we will see how it does. I remember when there was nothing but Dunkin Donuts there on the corner, so I guess anything is better than nothing.

Well, I am happy a BBQ restaurant is opening. We don't have very many of those.

🤔 Since you speak for all people, I'm curious to know exactly what we want in that prime real estate. Please enlighten...
