A neat fact I learned as an adult is that all birds are literally dinosaurs, indeed, the only known surviving dinosaurs. All birds evolved from theropods.

Yup. IIUC they were thought to be very different, then the only difference was that bird pelvises (pelvi?) were slightly different from theropod pelvises. Then even that difference was reconsidered out of existence.
PS -- Diplodocus and Brontosaurus are back, too, after being reclassified into oblivion most of my adult life. I missed them. :)
