Welcoming places to live for a black family in MA?

Hi All,

I live in a small predominately white town in MA. There isn't much diversity but overall I've had a good and safe experience living here.

I'm looking to purchase a home ($500K budget). I would like to move to an area with better schools for my special needs child.

Does anyone have any cities/towns to recommended?

What places should we avoid? I'm open to many places but I don't want to go somewhere known for discrimination.
