Unless youre being attacked by deli meats and cheeses. There are better ways to protect yourself. A concealed carry license and firearms safety class is realistically your best bet

Very easy to get one. Am a POC in a high crime rate area. Never mention anything about crime and just say you want to have protection for your family and occasionally like to go to the range.
