Tell that to the thousands of ppl who show up for some of the most storied rivalry games in football history in Wellesley needham and Latin English. Not sure why ppl get all worked up about something that means a lot to the players and ppl who work all summer and fall to play these games

There's fewer of these rivalries anymore, Malden/Medford, Quincy/North Quincy. Schools that have been playing each other for 50, 75, 100 years.
