They mean that considering this noteworthy, in and of itself propagates a “white/Christian first” mentality, which is very reminiscent of all of the more wealthy and racially homogenous suburbs which the commenter implies are holding us back by tolerating such views

I’m inclined to agree, I’m kind of annoyed that this is considered news at all

Um, dude already responded with a one word clarification. Read his response before throwing this out. (Your argument is more subtle, but definitely not what guy was saying.)
