Looks like it might have peaked. I contributed my positive samples last week.

Logically we are moving into week two post holiday. In the past that would mean people were just being made aware they were positive but I feel like (just a feeling based on anecdotal evidence don’t crucify me) that people are either more attuned to the symptoms or it is moving quicker. I would be venture to guess (and it’s just a guess) that we will be on the downslope now post all the holiday parties where it was likely spreading most beginning with Thanksgiving until school vacation in February when everyone feels the need to travel out of state.

I had it last week and was asymptomatic. Went around all week with it, and didn’t notice until the end when I tested because I was seeing elderly family. I only know I caught the tail end because I tested negative the next day.

I let my guard down this fall and ended up catching it early December. Luckily I didn’t end up passing it to an elderly family member I saw a few days before testing positive (probably wasn’t exposed until the next day). I’m youngish, boosted, and took paxlovid and it still knocked me down for a month. This is still a nasty bug.

Do you have comorbidities? Highly unusual to knock you down for a month as a young person.

After nearly three years it finally caught up to me. Damn you XBB.

Thought I was going to end up at the ER struggling to breathe, but the Paxlovid kicked in and saved me the trip - despite vaccine and booster.

Ended up at the ER with my one year old instead a couple days later, had covid-induced croup and was having trouble breathing.

Not fun, would not recommend.

They're also reporting less severe symptoms and fewer hospilizations. Until that changes, I do not care.

I’m vaccinated and boosted. I socially distanced and isolated the last 2.75 years. I only recently have been able to go out and live normal. Covid is not going away and I’m not living scared no more. So yes who cares, not me.

For real. I think people are down voting me thinking I'm some nut, but I got the vac and boosters and followed protocol when I felt necessary. If anyone personally feels the need to wear a mask, go ahead, doesn't bother me in the slightest. The fact that we need to be posting daily updates seems pretty stupid IMO.
