r/memes basically only allows hateful posts or crappy reposts. You can get better content from Facebook these days. r/meme doesn't gatekeep who posts so whole quality is low at least there's some variety unlike r/memes

Many of the posts here are just reposts from other subreddits. Especially r/shitposts is common
