Not sure who you mean by "we" but this is specifically shampoo. It's not body soap.

I didn't say "body soap". Soap is soap. Shampoo is soap, too.

I just think it's funny how washing your hair with bar soap was super common until liquid hair soap called "shampoo" was invented, and now we've come full circle back to bar soap for the hair.

There's nothing stopping you from washing your hair with a plain old bar of Ivory soap. I've done it countless times.

I was not aware of the history of soap, thanks for the info. Good thing we don't use Ivory for everything anymore, though.
