I've often wondered about braille on signs, in public buildings etc... How do the blind people even know there's a braille sign there to be read? I don't see them rubbing their fingers over every single surface they bump into in the hopes they'll find a braille sign that says "floor 2".

I like the braille fire escape signs. Like a blind person is going to be feeling around on the walls in a fire hoping for a sign to help find the door.
