After watching how good most of stranger things is I'm very interested in what the Duffer Brothers future projects are and following their career. I'd especially like to see what they can do with film. As good as ST is it's a bit of a time consuming process getting through TV series compared to a 2 hour film. A film would give them a decent budget and higher production values too. As good as TV is it's still always TV and I tend not to rewatch TV series once I've seen it compared to film which I do. You can completely tell that they've been influenced by 70s, 80s and 90s movies especially sci-fi/fantasy. Maybe they could rescue Star Wars?

Please stop wasting good directors time with star wars. Seen too many get tied up with it and then they and everyone else seems disappointed

Making Star Wars would be a waste of their talents, I prefer they build an original IP of movies or adapt some bestsellers into franchise.

They made a movie called Hidden.

It wasn’t terrible but probably would have worked better as a short film.

If I were to guess..they will do something outside of their current wheelhouse. TV showrunners and writers tend to like to vary their projects a little bit. So it probably won't be another genre piece set in the past.

Also, Star Wars is pretty fucked at this point. Unless they replace certain executives at the very top (Kathleen Kennedy) it's going to continue as is until it crashes into the ground like a crippled Star Destroyer.

I hope The Duffers don't bother with a Star Wars product.

The next thing they have coming up is an adaptation of a Stephen King Novel and a Stranger Things Spin-Off.

I think there were also working on a live adaptation of an Anime as well.

They're set to produce (but not write, apparently) a Death Note live action series.
