This is one of the worst things I've ever seen. It's like "The Room" for music biopics. Apparently made by the subjects children? Almost every choice in this movie is insane.

It seems to have regular working actors in it, which I don't normally see in this kind of made for Redbox schlock. Not to mention the musical cameos by Jason Derulo and Wiz Khalifa. How and why did they get involved? Why is the lead actor who's in almost every frame of the movie not even on the main page for the film on IMDB?

Not much info out there aside from them having filming shut down for not being able to page extras or something. This was originally scheduled to be a Spike Lee joint? With Justin Timberlake attached? There has to be an insane story for how this movie came to be.

I wouldn't recommend anyone pay to see this but as an a list curiousity for folks who appreciate BAD movies it's almost can't miss material.

it was apparently 12 years in the making and even had to stop production early. not for quarantine but for not paying unionized canadian actors fairly.

I haven’t seen it but have been completely baffled by the ads I’ve seen for it. One made it seem like an Isley Brothers biopic and really emphasizes “JASON DERULO is RON ISLEY.” Then another is all about KISS? I googled it and found out, like you said, the director is the son of the record producer who is ostensibly the lead of this movie (lol) and it started filming in 2019.
