Why in the world would Rob Zombie’s sequel to Halloween be on any top 100 horror list? That nulled this list immediately

You'd be surprised at the re-appraisal that film has received over the years, it just got included in BFI's 1-horror-film-per-year list too.

Guess it’s all about opinion so no one is really right or wrong. I enjoyed the first remake thought it was a cool different perspective and a solid movie something I can rewatch. I tried to give the sequel a few tries and it is unwatchable for me. His wife is such a atrocious actor in my opinion
