Come and See is a 1985 Belarusian war film depicted as a horror film. It's about a Belarusian child named Flyora excitingly joining the army to fight against the nazis, but then regrets it later. He comes across the atrocities of war and genocide and of course the nazis. They used real bullets, real livestock, real explosions, an actual ex nazi as an actor who plays a nazi and real footage of the Holocaust. Film can be seen on YouTube with English subtitles.
Men Behind The Sun is a 1988 Hong Kong horror film about the Japanese in China, where they conduct unethical experiments. It's again, based on the true story of unit 731. We see it through the eyes of a couple of soldiers, generals and Chinese prisoners. The vivisection of a person in the movie was actually done with a dead person who was found near a Hong Kong police station. Like Come and See it contains actual World War II footage. Film can be seen on YouTube, but dubbed. The English dub is a little cheesy. But parts of the film can also be watched in Mandarin on YouTube.

Men Behind the Sun is generally not well regarded, while Come and See is considered widely one of the best war movies ever
