I enjoyed the 90’s version more than the 2021 one. I felt the 90s version characters were more accurately portrayed and truer to the source material. The 2021 left out a lot of the character development that was part of the beauty of the book. And while the 90s version was shorter it did a better job watching out those characters then the longer 2021 version. That was one of my big disappointments with the 2021 series, especially given they could have ran the series for a year and really dug into it.

Overall I felt the 2021 version seem very rushed.
