Eldritch Horror (or Lovecraftian) is a bit of a niche to begin with, it's drawn out, creeping and conveying the emotions in this case is arguably far easier in writing than in picture.
Other than being a niche genre to begin with, those difficulties make a proper portrayal of eldritch horror in movies difficult. Additionally, it's a genre that lives of costumes and special effects, requiring budget and making older movies age poorly, often making them seem funny rather than scary.
So, my question to you lads is - which movie (or series) in your eyes has been the best depiction of Eldritch horror? Or is there any honorable mention of ongoing / upcoming movies series?
