  • Tommy Boy, when he gives that speech to all the Callahan workers and is then on the boat talking to us dad as if he were there
  • Edge of Tomorrow, after all he’s been through, he can’t help but to just laugh about it
  • Real Genius, they got back at their professor, had a bunch of popcorn, all to the tune of Tears For Fears
  • The Martian, which just sort of abruptly ends in the book, but the movie gives the story such a wonderful epilogue

Lyrically, that song works, but its sound was really jarring for me when I first watched it. It didn't match the tone of the film for me. But that is a great fucking movie.

My favorite part of the Real Genius ending is the Kent redemption path. They could have had him stay the typical 80s a-hole/bully, but in the end, he realizes its the military-industrial complext that's evil (and the emblematic professor) and decides to join to good guys.
