In total I've watched close to 100 films this year as its my job.
I don't think you and I have similar tastes.

I'm in the film industry, mainly advising film finance and distribution entities these days, usually independent films from $2-$40M budget. I occasionally work with larger studios on P&A deals. I watch at least 3 films a week for most of the year, so I've probably seen over 100 in 2022. One that stood out for me was 'EO' a wonderful Polish film starring a donkey.

I truly truly hated 'Maverick' ; a soulless piece of inane propaganda, as much for Boomer values as for the military, and I generally like slick action films. I felt nothing but rage after it.

I really wasn’t expecting to like Maverick as I hated the first Top Gun, but was really surprised by how captivating it was.

I have heard of EO and will definitely check it out if it plays locally.
