I’d almost go as far to say it’s NOT an animation for kids. This had some pretty brutal moments that would be scarring for a lot kids. Definitely a great movie though.

I'm hoping they meant it's not "just some cartoon for kids," as opposed to "not only is it an animation for kids."
There's really nothing "for kids" about this film. If people are still walking around in 2023 thinking "oh it's animated, must be a family movie" they have been living under a rock

Not for kids alone, but for kids with their grown up to watch together for sure.

I agree it's not for children. So many dead children in that movie.

Yeah definitely felt the same watching it, not for kids- which I appreciated. The fairy thing was creepy. Tbf the original Disney one was terrifying as a kid.
