Serious question, what do you do with multiple gallons? I tend to go through a half gallon in a year, and that's with a bit of baking that uses a lot more than occasional pancakes would otherwise.
We use it in our coffee instead of sugar and it's delightful!
The best iced latte I ever made was with Parker’s maple coffee and maple syrup. Using it for sugar replacement is great
It's great to use in marinades for salmon and chicken. Mix with soy sauce, garlic, pepper and a bit of Dijon mustard.
Pancakes, waffles, French toast almost every weekend. Baking, cooking, and sometimes tea & coffee. Good stuff!
Anybody selling very dark? It's my favorite and hard to find. Preferably not too far from MHT.
Probably a bit early. I’m only dipping into dark out of amber.
Sammy's Sugar Shack in Milford had dark today. Not sure if it's very dark though.
Thank you, friend 😉
You actually like very dark? Not many people do. I pack that everyday!! I work packing bulk maple syrup and VDS is what I pack the most. It's used as an ingredient so it's pretty rough sometimes.
Love, it. Yes! 💕 Underrated or perhaps an acquired taste? LOL
It depends on how bad it is. The flavor can be pretty mild sometimes. Other times it's very strong. I've taken some home before and the kids actually liked it lol.
Anyone know with this warm winter how, if at all it will affect the syrup this year?
It’s been one of the best seasons we have seen in a long time my wife and her mother have a very small operation and they have been collecting sap for the last month now and the bags are still filling up every two days
Awesome! That is really great to hear. God bless!
That cold snap in late feb saved it I think. We are having a good season. Not amazing but decent.
As long as there is some good news with it. After everything it's good to hear it is not a loss.
Went up to The Rocks and had a great time at their museum and got to tap a tree.
I was hoping someone would post about this! Any recommendations for places? Doesn't matter where.
Bens in Temple is good! Best Maple donuts and creemees!
Bens in Temple was SWAMPED so we didn't stop but a minute down the street was Connelly Farm! So glad we stopped there. Weeks old baby cows 🥺🥺🥺
Connelly is great too!!!
They are all good.
Well that makes it easy then!
Not a fan lol. I work at a sugar house and it's hard to work with people around. We actually don't really open for maple weekend, but some still show up here and there.
It’s a busy weekend. But I look at it this way. I run 1300 taps and retail everything. I make the same money my family in vt who does 10k taps and wholesales everything. And I actually enjoy 98% of the folks who come in.
We're a huge operation so when people come in they are right in my way lol. It gets old asking people to move when they can see me! LoL. Love my job, but I'm a busy guy so no time for that. 😂

Done! And I scored a couple gallons to support my local farmer
