And then we had that one year about 4 or so years back where it was May

Never expected it to snow in may, still have a photo of that with the apple blossoms blooming

I remember that! It was the longest winter ever - first major snowstorm was in October 2002 and was a 13" storm, last one of that season was mid-May 2003 and another 13" storm. Of course it snowed that bad that year, I had moved in June 2002 and had to drive 45 minutes to work as opposed to 25 minutes, lol. Never in my life have I ever seen it snow in May, never mind that much.

2003 was kinda wack.

I think in 2018 or 2019 we also has snow flurries through much of April and early May which provided a picturesque atmosphere

You will know. The blackflies are the heralds of spring.

Imagine if we had a real winter. This one was nothing.

We used to. I remember getting a month plus of awesome sledding in every day in the side hill field at my parents place with my flexible Flyer sled. My sister and I would have to crawl our way up the hill but it was so worth it. Didn’t come in until it got too dark.

Yeah this is what? The 3rd decent snow event we’ve had this winter and it’s already 50 two days later? It’s bs

I always consider march one of the worst winter months. We are lucky if spring starts early. Idk why everyone has this attitude it must just have to be with the yearning for spring at this time of year.

I swear at this point there's only 2 seasons. "slightly chilly with a chance of a two-footer" from October-March and "swamp season" from April to September

So happy that Canterbury and Loudon missed this storm. The golf courses there will be open in no time at all!

Did they really not get much up that way? I'm a bit further south and we got a solid 8" of cover on the ground from that so I'm assuming no golf here until like, April 10.

This is the good news I wanted to see on this sub! I’m in Alton we got well over a foot of snow yesterday. Golf seems so far away right now lol

Meredith missed the storm, too. My crocuses are up in my garden so I’m slightly optimistic it’s Spring.

I already see the ground in many areas. It’s just about here!

Same, here. I just need the official word from CloudBoy that winter is done with us.
