Hey everyone, I recently bought a house in the Monadnock Region and it has a wood burning furnace in the garage that I want to use as a secondary source of heat in addition to my oil heating. Does anyone know a place in this area that can perform an inspection and possible maintenance on something like this? I've been searching online but I can only seem to find places that service wood stoves, not wood furnaces that vent through a chimney but also blow the heat through vents throughout the house.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Have you tried Friends of the Sun in Brattleboro, VT? If they don’t do it, they’ll probably know someone who does.

Edit: something else I thought of…unless the homeowner did it themselves, the furnace was probably installed by the manufacturer or a service tech. A lot of these places leave stickers or tags identifying who did the work. You can try calling the manufacturer and find out from them who installs/services their stuff in the area.

I'm a bit far from Brattleboro but I can check them out, thanks!

And I believe the previous owners installed the furnace themselves but I will double check.
