Sounds like bs. Configure your camera to use their WiFi and if it doesn't work contact the camera's support.

You might need to forward a port on the new router so the camera system will be accessible remotely. Call your installer or an IT company. Fidium won't be any help for this.

Try asking in the r/FidiumFiber sub, I’m sure someone can help.

You shouldn’t have to buy a new router, let alone a mesh system. I believe Fidium uses Adtran routers, which you’ll just need to figure out what ports and such are blocking.

A lot of variables here not being discussed.

  • I'm assuming your using their router? If not then it would most likely be an ISP issue.
  • Is it signal to the cameras? That would be fixed by a mesh but absolutely no way you should ever buy that from an ISP.
  • If they have signal and work inside the house then it's a router config and as others have said Fidium is unlikely to be of any house. Port forwarding can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.

99.99% chance you'll be better off getting someone who knows tech and not dealing with Fidum.

Where are you that they actually hooked you up? I'm in Concord and they have gone around our street but not actually run fiber yet (although they keep leaving us notices that it's happening since July).

UPnP is a protocol that automagically forwards required ports based on the feedback from your NVR. Fidium just gives you basic router which most likely does not support UPnP and thus your cameras no longer work externally.

This could be for a whole slew of reasons. Also not at all relevant to this sub.

You're better off asking in /r/homenetworking or similar.
