My mom would make different appetizers throughout the night as we all stayed up. We always had the NYE celebration counting down in tv. If your daughter is 11, maybe everyone could play some sort of party game? (I’m not sure how big your family is.) it’s also fun to dress up the the party hats they sell at places like market basket. You could dress up in those and take pictures together. Since she’s too young for champagne, you could do sparkling cider and put it in a nice glass so it’s like champagne. Those are just things that I would have liked around that age. Also around that age, I thought dressing up in something sparkly for New Years was a huge deal. (Now at 27, I’m in my pajamas the whole time) but if she’s into fashion or something you could dress up for fun.

Those are all FANTASTIC ideas. We're a family of 3, and love game nights. (played games while we lost power last week) I love the idea of different snackies throughout the night. We can dress up for photos and go back to PJs after! Thanks so much for the advice!
