It's a beautiful place indeed. I'm old enough to have spent time there before it became a park and you could still drive all the way out to the bay.

Yeah, you're definitely from a nicer section. Home is home, though

There's really not much of a difference. My friends and I used to hang out in Bellcrest quite a bit in the late 70's and early 80's and knew quite a lot of folks from that neighborhood.

It's a shame Bellcrest Plaza is the way it is now. It used to have some good stuff in it - Arcade, pool hall, pet store, pizzaria, etc. Still has potential, but I doubt anything good comes of it

That arcade had Pengo, which I loved, and some kick-ass Pinball machines. I miss the old Lane Drugs and McCrory's that used to be there way back when and the Foodtown is gone now as well. I was the Courier for Foodtown at the time when they closed down. It was a great job and I miss it. Now there's a chicken joint, a restaurant called Tardi's which is pretty good, there's a DQ and a gym, and the Burger King is now a Joe's Bagels. Driftwood Deli is still across the street though and still very good. I recommend the number 22.
