I was a registered republican until 2009. I began listening to Siriusxm radio. David something and then Mark Levin would on while I drove 2 hours every weekend. The terms began bubbling there like Marxist which was used as a coded way for saying "I hate that our president is black". I should have left the party sooner when in the 2008 GOP primary l, they allowed birthers to be speak at the RNC convention. Then the tea party gang showed up, and they were obnoxious, but a minority.

Hot take, nearly all politicians are corrupt power hungry self serving windbags.

I began to cope in 2016 and hope that maybe some form of healthcare plan would actually be produced. It would have guaranteed multiple GOP terms of they had pulled it off. But they were proven to have zero policies and had no idea how to govern. I then looked back and tried to remember when the GOP was able to govern at a state level or national level where fear wasn't a main driving force. I'm no war hawk (like both GWB and Hillary) but the moment the prominent faces of the GOP turned on McCain and ridiculed his service...that was irredeemable for me. The tea party gang had grown and taken over the GOP. We now live in a world where Joe Biden is called a Marxist, which is insane for anyone using their memory. When objectively, he's more of a pre-Newt as speaker moderator republican from the early 1990s. It's a crazy time.

The democrat's largest issue over the last 20 years has been messaging.

Bravo. Very well said. There's no way in the world Democrats are going to win on "defund the police".
