Get in touch with the police to file a report and the company ASAP. That is going to smell for weeks even after you clean it! Your going to need a super professional detailing if you don't want your car to smell like rotting chicken corpse for the next 6 months!

you think i should file a report? this is definitely going to cost me a ton of money. i’ve already had one car wash and the car smells even worse now. and now that it’s hailing all the car washes are closing for the day.

Absolutely you should. The sooner the better. Like right now. Your car is damaged and that company has insurance, you shouldn't pay for that. Even if you can find someone to clean it that smell is going to linger for a long time! Call the police non emergency number in the town that it happened and they can advise the easiest way to file a report. If they can give you the information for the company you can contact them directly. If not you can call your insurance company and file a claim and they will let you know what to do and mediate with the trucking company. It shouldn't cost you anything even if you have a deductible because it's the other parties responsibility, it's always better to avoid going through insurance so try working with the company first. Also, time is of the essence here because once that stink sets in you won't get rid of it. Try calling Serve Pro or some other company that cleans up crime scenes, dead bodies, ect. A car wash isn't going to do it. I'm really sorry for you! This has to be the worst Monday of all Mondays! Good luck!
