Every source of energy and every location has some negative. Risks vs costs vs benefits, a conundrum as old as the earth itself. Those risks and costs are always "minimal" unless you are directly affected by them. For example people are killed every day by hitting or damaged utility poles. Did we totally eliminate them to do away with that risk of one falling over while you're at a stoplight and getting you. Sometimes in some places we do by moving utilities underground. Of course then other risks from that. The cost of moving them underground are substantially more than leaving them on poles. Some places have decided those costs are worth the benefits, other places haven't. Same applies to generation. Unfortunately, the choice has to be made between different costs and different risks and different benefits. We are world dependent on cheap energy. There's never an easy answer.
